About Me

My name is Derek Leman. I am a Realtor and writer in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly a pastor, I succeeded in starting a congregation but failed to live up to my calling. Ten years later, I experienced a renewal of faith that had to be from God. I used to write books primarily about the Jewish background of faith in Jesus—an issue I still care very much about. Now, my focus is more on explaining faith in Jesus and helping people know him and follow him. Failure is a great teacher. Assuming that last sentence is true, perhaps I have something to offer, a realistic look at life and faith in Jesus Christ.
